CSS Academy Director Selected for Ladder to Leadership Training Program

Community Support Services (CSS), Inc., a leading service agency for people       with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD), announced today that Necole Mills, Director   of CSS Academy, has been selected to participate in Community Memorial Foundation’s   (CMF) Ladder to Leadership program. The Ladder to Leadership program aims to boost the skills and capabilities of emerging leaders working in the health and health-related nonprofit organizations so they will be positioned to assume greater leadership roles in local nonprofit organizations.

As CSS Academy Director, Mills oversees all program development and implementation, staff management and daily operations for the Academy. Mills was promoted to this position from within CSS where she previously led the Vocational Services team. During her 2-year tenure, the Vocational Services program grew job match placements for those with I/DD by 300 percent. Also, the number of employment business partnerships more than doubled.

Mills holds a Master’s Degree in Human Resource Development and is currently working on her Doctorate Degree in Organizational Leadership & Non-Profit Management.

CSS serves 57 communities in western Cook and eastern DuPage counties. Over 700 individuals and their families are served annually. CSS also owns and operates the Chicago Canine Club in Burr Ridge, a full service dog boarding and training business whose revenues support the CSS mission.
